With our Community Assistance Program, you continue to foster the animal while we get him/her ready for adoption. We will provide vaccines, microchips, worming and flea medications. The animals must be spayed or neutered in order to adopt to a new home, so we will help you get this done using our rescue discount. We will also list your cat or dog along with all other Saving Lives foster animals on adoption websites and find an approved home for him/her.
Looking for a barn Cat?
At SLAR, all barn cats are fully vetted, including being spayed or neutered, before they are available for the barn cat program. Individuals interested in adopting barn cats must be able to provide the cats with shelter, food, water and vet care. Barns, outbuildings, factories and warehouses are all considered suitable shelters for the cats.
